Where We Build

Service Areas Around Murphy, NC

Based in Murphy. Hayesville, Andrews, Robbinsville, and Franklin.

Based in Murphy, NC, we build in Hayesville, Andrews, Robbinsville, and Franklin. Those towns sit in Cherokee, Clay, Graham, and Macon counties. Murphy is home base. The license does not change from town to town. The land and the county office do.

Towns we serve

Have a lot in one of these towns?

Tell us the town and what the ground is like. We will say whether it is work we can take on.

Green-sided two-story home with dark metal roof and porch

Murphy, Cherokee County

This is where Rollins Construction Inc. is based, and it is the town we know the most closely. Hiwassee Lake, the Hiwassee River, and the Valley River set the ground people ask us to walk: lake-area lots, valley benches, and ridges off the US-64 and US-19 corridors.

A custom home here starts with that lot. The house is custom home building. When the slope is the question, the next conversation is excavation and grading.

White horizontal-sided home with a covered front porch and a green lawn

Hayesville, Clay County

Lake Chatuge is the landmark most Clay County calls mention, along with the ridges around the water. A gentle lake lot and a tract that falls away from the road need different pads, even when the house idea is the same.

Permits go through Clay County, not Cherokee County. We pull them for the projects we build. The house scope is still custom home building.

Finished cedar-sided mountain home with decks and a gravel drive

Andrews, Cherokee County

Valley-floor ground and the ridges above it are both in this part of Cherokee County. The valley can hold water. A ridge can offer the view and then charge for it in grade and truck access. Western Carolina Regional Airport, just west of town, is a landmark people use when they describe a parcel.

Andrews uses the same Cherokee County building office as Murphy. The lot is not the same lot. We walk it before we treat a plan as final. Start with custom homes or the site work.

Robbinsville, Graham County

Graham County is the part of our area where the lot most often decides the house. Lake Santeetlah, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, and the Cherohala Skyway are in this county, and Fontana Lake lies in the same region. We do not quote a drive time to the water. We look at the parcel you actually have.

Permits go through Graham County. If the ground is the worry, read excavation and grading and land clearing and road building.

Franklin, Macon County

Franklin sits on the Little Tennessee River. River-bottom ground and a cove lot up a forest road ask for different foundations. An hour from Murphy is still our service area, and it is far enough that the site visit has to count.

Permits go through Macon County. The work is a custom home and the site work that belongs with it, by a builder based in Murphy.
